Another week on

Well, this have been the fourth week in Kuching. Look like time passed kinda fast. Planned to make at least few blog entry a week but ended up.. Mainly because there is no net access. A life without the line is so different..

Started to love Kuching either. It is a quiet and lonely place. More different than the city life so far. The time frame here is kinda different than in KL.. You will find peace here very easy.

The last weekend was a fun day with the habitat. Habitat is a community provided to help the poor people to build houses. And of course, DNA is part of them. This time, we are involved in the labour work. Work like fix the wall panel and filling in the foundation of toilet. We did a tough job under the sun. We have to work like a labour collecting all the stone pebbles and then transfer it. Ended up burning in the sun. But it is a day. WE called it a day.

About the training itself. It is so so far so good. We already have 11 trainies from UPM, USM and UTM... Include me of course. We are the 11 troubleyee in the office. Our office is a tiny open space office that look messy for the first impression. Pictures of it to be uploaded soon. Hopefully. So far, given all the task what an real architect did. Although it is not a big one but guess learn a lot from it. Got involved in the early part of BP submission set under Michael. He bullied us in a nice way. Haha. Here draw, then there change, then change again. It is a never ending work. And i trully saluted the batch of draughtwoman in front of me. They faced the autocad for the whole day and it last for five days.

While every day routine rotating so do the mind of the architect does. step by step, we are much closer to the architect lifestyle. And i will not want to be a draughtman only. Either an architect or nothing. But for real, i hate computer work all the time. For the whole week, i been doing the staircase. Either the concrete stair or the spiral staircase. Gosh. StairCase. Nightmare for the week... one step = 164mm or more or less. Gosh.. All in dictionary.
