Mount santubong.. LOST

Well, the journey on last saturday was a great story about lost in the jungle with Tarzan and Jane. It is a pretty long story to be share with. Which will be continued tomorrow as office is going to close.

Up the the mountain we went last saturday. The journey to Mount Santubong is not that far compared to the journey up that took us almost 7 hours. It was a tired journey. There is 10 of us for the beginning. Everyone started it with a smile in their face but just after 5 minutes, something went wrong. Haha. All started to breath like there is no air. It is because the guide , Henry is going too fast. He was sort of running up the hill. And some cannot catch him behind. For someone that went before, it was easy but for those who never even been to a mountain was difficult.

We can hear some girls and boys shouting behind wanted to stop especially the China boy.. QL wanted to be back in his home in China. Haha. It was all the way up. Everything was fine until we reached the waterfall which is in viewpoint 5. Some of them decided to stop and going down but the power 4 wanted to go up. Just to see what the view santubong can give us. So, michael, ka yee, ee sheng and me went up. One checkpoint by another. We managed to get the view that we have in mind. The way going up was getting steeper and we sort like having some wall climbing.

Along the way, i have a baby to be taken care of. Ee sheng which is a bit slow but determined actually deserve a praise. Thru it is slow but at least she made it. We managed to get ourself about 2250m above the sea level. Only 750 to go but Ee Sheng cant really go on so we have to go down. A bit sad. It is just another 2 more hours and we will reach the top..

I was happily like no one while going up but when going down, it is a nightmare turn to be. It is not a simple way of going down and it look dangerous. We managed to get back to the waterfall before the true nightmare came.

Wanted to change so i took over to lead. Lead but in the end i made them lost. Thru i am not so good at direction but have to mad for the confusing sign. I took the road not to be taken and well, it is really not to be taken. The moment i realised i missed out the sign was too late. We cant turn back apart from going to the front. Gosh. Along the way, i felt guilty. With the ee sheng that started to look worry. Luckily Michael and kayee took over to find the way out. The tarzan and jane of the day. We went thru all the road that no one ever will use for mount climbing. The plants is there and we have to make our own way.

We have to cross the faulty bridge and many other land that cause scratch on our leg and hand. Just like the jungle kids. But the day is getting darker. We .... continued tml.. haha.
